Most Swiss own at least a cell-phone with a built-in camera. Many have near-professional photo equipment, producing pictures rich in color and clarity.
However, more dated photographic equipment is sometimes suitable for bringing across the kind of retro feel which can still be found in many parts of Switzerland today.
Project Clack! by Zürich photographer Matthias Bünzli is an artistic throwback to the beginnings of travel photography. During the post-war boom years, capturing reality by snapping a quick picture became a new way of luxury.
We like how Bünzli reproduced this movement with a series of pictures, many of which from the Ticino region. All photographs are copyright by Matthias Bünzli.
Now, have a close look at these photographs and ask yourself: Is this really modern-day Switzerland?
