Great photos! It really gives a taste of Zürich :-)
Thank you so much for the feedback, Cécile! I can tell from your blog that you enjoy photography as well…
That´s a nice album, giving me a glimpse of the city I will be living in in few months.
I hope these images did not scare you away from Zürich! It is a great city with lots to see, but this day of doing street photography revealed some of the contrasts we do not always pay attention to. Best of luck and welcome to Zürich, Bryndis!
As a not newly swissed but someone who always lived around Zurich it is always interesting to see how newly swissed see this interesting town and it opens my eyes to see Zurich from a new perspective.
Thank you for reading Newly Swissed, Monica! Even though I grew up near Zürich, living abroad has kind of trained my eyes to see the details which I used to ignore…
I love the shot of the mountains from the lake. Seeing them after days of rain is always a thrill. Just as in Seattle, I often end up saying to visitors, “If it were clear, you could see . . . ”
Actually, I like the rain. Like Seattle, Zürich is beautiful, rain or sunshine. But Seattle looks a bit odd on a sunny day, and the residents always seem a little confused and lost when the sun comes out.
Hi Kathy! I have actually seen the best of Seattle with barely a drop of rain. The locals told me that the whole “rain talk” was just their way of keeping Seattle to themselves ;-)
In the case of Zürich, however, rain is a reality… But as you have stated, seeing the mountains reveal themselves after a storm is priceless.
This is probably the best way to make Swiss that are away from home very homesick :-) I have to admit it almost brought tears to my eyes :-(
Hi Mel! I take it as a compliment ;-) But sorry about the rush of emotions… Di
Love the photos! Great idea of doing street photos in Zurich :)
I’m glad you like the pictures, Ratri!
Great photos! Keep adding.
