One hour and three gondolas is all it takes to reach the magnificent Schilthorn.
High above the Lauterbrunnen valley with its famous waterfalls, Schilthorn provides a stunning panoramic view of the Bernese Alps.
Since our previous visit, all binoculars had been replaced with cool spy like telescopes. These digital gadgets display auxiliary information about the surrounding panorama, such as names and altitudes of prominent mountains.
We return not only for the stunning views, but also to visit the Bond World 007 museum.
From the moment we step into Bond World 007, we feel like on a James Bond movie set! Artifacts from famous movies are scattered among interactive exhibits, such as a real-size helicopter, a "make your own Bond picture" studio, and an entertaining green screen studio with the bob sled from the finale of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service."
Museum admission is included in the gondola fare.
