Autumn Festivals in Ticino (2016 Schedule)

As the days grow shorter and the fog lingers in the mornings, remember that the sun still shines in the south of Switzerland.

Ticino is our favorite place to spend an autumn weekend: The chestnut forests invite for hikes, the small towns in the Maggia valley are less crowded, and the traditional harvest festivals are great for practicing your photography skills. Did we mention the porcini risotto the locals serve from large pots?
