Fasnacht is the time of year when parts of Switzerland temporarily shut down due to excessive carnival festivities.
Zürich has more than 100 years of tradition when it comes to its carnival parade. Whether you go all out on a costume or simply put on some make-up, hit the Bahnhofstrasse and enjoy the parade! The point is to forget about everyday hassles for a moment and simply give in to the confetti action, the costumes and the sounds of the Guggemusig bands.
Our advice: don't miss the carnival parade in Zürich's downtown streets on Sunday, March 1. In a very carnival fashion, it will start at exactly 2:31 PM...
