Music and wine will be returning to Lugano once again this spring!
La Bacchica is the popular wine festival that spans over several days in May. It was originally launched in Bellinzona two decades ago but has since moved to Lugano. The city’s streets and lakeside will once again be bustling with performance stages, live music and sampling booths by local Ticino wine growers. But with all that music and wine, there are just as many food choices. For instance, one area is dedicated to local delicacies and another to worldly cuisine.

One of the highlights of La Bacchica is the traditional Sunday parade. It features folklore groups from the region showcasing their outfits and musical skills. And during those lush spring evenings, live music performances will pop up all over town. Is there going to be another beauty contest for the best looking wine grower? We cannot tell from the program guide but the chances are good…
So, what are you waiting for? The La Bacchica Festival in Lugano is the perfect occasion to toast with a glass of Ticino wine!
