Summer in Switzerland's south wouldn't be the same without the Moon and Stars Festival. The annual open-air concert series celebrates live music under the starry sky.

Like fireflies to the light, Moon and Stars regularly brings music lovers to the charming Piazza Grande square in Locarno. The festival has been around for over 20 years and has become integral to Ticino's cultural scene.

We particularly love the concert stage setting: it is on a giant open-air plaza surrounded by colorful buildings. This is the perfect place to soak up Mediterranean summer vibes on a cloudless night with still-moderate Ticino temperatures.
