The World of Steve McCurry Photography Exhibit (Zurich)

The haunting and ethereal portrait of the Afghan Girl may strike a chord of recognition in many of us. It is one of the most iconic images captured by American photographer Steve McCurry.

This photograph is waiting to be viewed at the new photography exhibition, The World of Steve McCurry. The exhibit is housed inside the MAAG Halle in Zurich through October 20, 2021.

The World of Steve McCurry

From Soviet-controlled Afghanistan to the colorful streets of Cuba, Steve McCurry has seen the world in a way most of us can only dream of. This exciting exhibition showcases 140 large-format photographs lensed by McCurry over the span of his 40-year career. It takes us on a journey through his travels and to the many people he has met along the way.

The audio guide accompanying the exhibition is being narrated by the photographer himself, guiding you through the many countries he has visited. McCurry offers us a deeper look at the subjects of his photographs.

With the pandemic still restricting travel to many countries, The World of Steve McCurry is the perfect way to vicariously see the world, learn some history and get to know other cultures. All of this, of course, through the eyes of one of the most talented photographers of our time.
