Venetian Carnival in Annecy, France
Mar 3, 2023 - Mar 5, 2023
The Annecy Venetian Carnival may be one of the most amazing spectacles taking place just across the Swiss border in France.
Annecy is a truly beautiful French town located within a short drive from the "City of Calvin." A mere 35 km south of Geneva, Annecy is well worth a visit any time of the year. There is a reason why Annecy is considered the most beautiful town in France.
The charming Venice of the Alps offers exceptionally well-preserved medieval quarters that unfold through a series of intricate canals, shaded by bridges overflowing with brightly colored geraniums and arcaded streets.
In this perfect alpine setting, the Annecy Venetian Carnival traditionally takes place for two and a half days every spring. The medieval alleys of Annecy are filled with over 350 sumptuous Venetian masks who will stroll leisurely along the streets of the old town, allowing visitors to admire and photograph them.
