Visions du Réel – Documentary Film Festival (Nyon)

The internationally renown Visions du Réel Documentary Film Festival offers the largest collection of fresh contemporary films in Switzerland.

It is the perfect event for those who want something more than just watching a typical blockbuster at the cinema. The mixed selection of almost 180 films – traditional narratives, experimental films, essays, diaries, family videos, fragmented stories and others – are shaped in a free form that reinvents genres.

Amongst others, this festival stands out as an explorer, curator and promoter of documentary film-making and highlights new artistic trends and today’s social and human issues. There will be several English language films in this year’s program, including the world premiere of A Campaign of Their Own, a tribute to Bernie Sanders’ campaign for the American presidency.
